Gucci has introduced its fall edition for this 2018 and it got a lot of people talking. Gucci has always been a brand that blows it`s admirers’ mind. For this fall, the fashion show by Gucci was spooky and creepy- don’t get me wrong. (IN A GOOD WAY!)
They introduced the clothes in a different approach that made everyone unable to turn their eyes away. When designing this collection Alessandro Michele was reading up on Foucault’s ideas about identity politics, as well as Donna Haraway’s “A Cyborg Manifesto.” Typical. As a result, Alessandro Michele`s muse this season was a post-human, post-identity, woke Gucci cyborg. The set was an operating table, and the collection proceeded to chop up various cultural references and piece them back together, from New York Yankees caps to turbans to sculptural headpieces inspired by Asian architecture.

Good fashion makes you think. Or lose your mind. We can see the reactions of people to Milan fashion week on Wednesday.
The message that we can get from this fashion show is that “We can decide to become who we are.” All that the designer wanted to deliver to the people through the clothes and the accessories with it was an insight into one`s Identity. The designer challenged what seems to be abnormal to others and tried to break stereotypes that are fixed for some people.
Be who you want to be! Be the Man/ Woman you want to be. With your unique choice of clothes, you reveal your personality and culture to others. Don’t be afraid to dress up and stand out for that.
So, whats your thought on this Gucci fashion show?
