Brand YourselfPersonal branding means the world to us. We were determined to build a strong personal brand after I resigned from Singapore Airlines. We were really glad that globe-trotting with the airlines had taught me to be well-groomed and had given me the opportunity to widen my perspectives. But still, there were a lot to catch up before I can rightfully call myself a sound personal branding guru.

We always picture personal branding as a cake with a winning layer of icing. Imagine you are at the deli with rows of dainty pastries on display. What particularly attracts you to buy a cake? Most people are generally attracted to confections with the most unique designs. But wonder why some cakes rave waves of die-hard fans compare to other similar pastries? The secret lies not only in the pretty layer of icing but also the flavoursome cake base Successful personal branding is like the best-selling cake, both pretty to the eyes and delicious to the taste.

We must say that we are quite blessed with pleasant physical traits and an approachable personality. But we knew that building our inner substance was equally important. To do that, we began to gather more hands-on experience and maximize the opportunity to work on some projects.

We quickly decided on the name ‘Brand Yourself’ and we love the plainspoken message it conveys – if you want a strike 100% in first impression, you’ll have to brand yourself for success! We want people to have a clear cut impression on what we do. The tagline is pretty straightforward too. When our clients find us online or read our business card, they will know that we are in the business to brand them in both offline and online.
